How We Work
VerdeNova understands that achieving lasting impact across Africa requires more than ideas—it demands innovative, evidence-based approaches that translate into real change for people and the planet. Our work is rooted in transforming research and data into practical solutions that communities, governments, and businesses can adopt to drive growth and resilience.
To do this, we focus on priority areas where change is most needed. We strengthen food systems and climate resilience by advancing climate-smart agriculture, post-harvest innovation, and sustainable resource use. Through adaptive project management, we apply rigorous monitoring, evaluation, and real-time learning to ensure accountability and measurable results. Our efforts in peace, safety, and security use conflict analysis and community engagement to reduce risks and foster stability. By promoting intra-African trade and commerce, we help integrate markets, empower smallholder producers, and expand regional opportunities.
We work side by side with local stakeholders, co-creating solutions that ensure ownership and sustainability. At the same time, we build institutional partnerships that connect farmers, entrepreneurs, and communities with markets, finance, and knowledge networks. This collaborative spirit ensures that innovations are not only designed but also scaled—turning evidence into action, and action into long-term, inclusive impact.
Where We Work
VerdeNova is headquartered in Kampala, which serves as the hub for coordinating national initiatives and partnerships. From this base, we work closely with communities, institutions, and stakeholders across Uganda to ensure that solutions are tailored to local needs and realities.
Our presence extends into key regions of the country, including Eastern, Western, Central, and Northern Uganda, where projects focus on strengthening food systems, building climate resilience, advancing social equity, and promoting inclusive economic opportunities. These regional efforts allow us to respond directly to community priorities while scaling innovative practices nationwide.
Our activities are supported through partnerships with local enterprises, community organizations, cooperatives, and private sector actors. By linking grassroots initiatives with markets, resources, and knowledge networks, we ensure that Ugandan communities not only benefit from development solutions but also play a central role in shaping and sustaining them.
